Connects to the main unit via DB15 cable, with its own display and parameter menu. The "⏻" key controls the signal, "◀" "▶" keys switch test patterns, with an additional auto-play toggle; VCOM +5 / -5 / +1 / -1 keys fine-tune flicker, and the OK key saves. Frequently used keys are mechanical keys rated for millions of presses — built to last.

Troubleshooting

Quick ways to locate pattern-testing issues

  • Check that the correct cables are used;
  • Check that the correct power parameters and panel parameters are selected;
  • Turn on the output signal and check whether VCC current is normal — very low current or NCP usually indicates a cable error, or possibly wrong power parameters.
  • Check that cables and timing parameters are correct and that the signal generator resolution matches the panel;
  • LVDS signal: check that the JEIDA / VESA format selection is correct;
  • Check the bit-width selection: LVDS with 5 differential pairs per channel (including clock) is 8-bit, 6 pairs is 10-bit; V-by-One is usually 10-bit;
  • V-by-One signal: check the SECTION parameter (8-lane: 1SEC / 2SEC; 16-lane: 1SEC / 2SEC / 4SEC).
  • Switch the "Flicker" parameter to the one matching the current LCM, and switch to the Flicker test pattern;
  • Press the +5 / -5 / +1 / -1 keys on the control box to adjust the VCOM value while observing flicker changes;
  • Once optimal, press the "OK" key to write the VCOM value to the panel T-CON board memory; "OK" displayed means success.
