16-Lane V-by-One | 4-CH LVDS | Optional eDP / RGB
Timing Analysis · Power Measurement · HDMI Live Display
The VLA-804 is an LCD interface signal analyzer for TV / monitor mainboards, accepting up to 16-lane V-by-One (3840×2160@120Hz), 4-channel LVDS (1920×1080@120Hz), 4-lane eDP 2.7Gbps (optional) and 24-bit RGB (optional). It provides timing analysis and measurement of analog signals such as LVDSVCC and BLVCC, converts the input image to HDMI output for live display, and can stream the image to a PC over gigabit Ethernet for in-depth analysis.
One instrument for capturing, analyzing, measuring and displaying mainboard LCD interface signals
Supports V-by-One (1/2/4/8/16 lane), LVDS (single / dual / quad channel, JEIDA / VESA), eDP (2/4 lane, optional) and 24-bit RGB (optional), covering mainstream LCD interfaces of TV and monitor mainboards.
Real-time measurement of horizontal parameters (Hs, HbpNum, HfpNum, HdNum, HsPol) and vertical parameters (Vs, VbpNum, VfpNum, VdNum, VsPol), with live timing monitoring.
Measures LVDS_VCC panel power from 3.3V to 15V (with load testing), plus BL_VCC backlight power, BL_ADJ backlight dimming (frequency and duty cycle) and BL_ONOFF status from 3.3V to 36V.
The input image is converted to HDMI output (up to 1920×1080, auto-scaled), with timing, power status, logic signals and instrument settings overlaid on the picture as OSD — everything at a glance.
All inputs feature multi-layer protection circuits and meet IEC 61000-4-2 ESD Level 4 (±15kV air / ±8kV contact discharge), withstanding frequent plug/unplug on production lines.
Stream the input image to a PC over gigabit Ethernet for analysis; RS232 interface and communication protocol documentation are provided for system integration and custom development.
V-by-One / LVDS standard, eDP / RGB optional — combine as needed
| V-by-One | Lanes: 1 / 2 / 4 / 8 / 16; Sections: 1, 2, 4; Bit width: 8bit, 10bit; Resolution up to 3840×2160@120Hz |
|---|---|
| LVDS | Channels: single, dual, quad; Bit width: 6bit, 8bit, 10bit; Formats: JEIDA, VESA; Resolution up to 1920×1080@120Hz; pixel clock up to 150MHz per channel |
| eDP (optional) | Lanes: 2, 4; Rates: 1.62Gbps, 2.7Gbps; Resolution up to 3840×2160@30Hz (requires eDP adapter) |
| RGB (optional) | 24-bit (R0~R7, G0~G7, B0~B7, HS, VS, DE, PCLK); pixel clock up to 85MHz; requires dedicated RGB firmware |
Beyond just seeing the picture — quantify every timing and electrical parameter
Horizontal: Hs, HbpNum, HfpNum, HdNum, HsPol; Vertical: Vs, VbpNum, VfpNum, VdNum, VsPol; real-time timing monitoring catches anomalies instantly.
LVDS_VCC 3.3V~15V input measurement with load testing — verify power-up sequencing and supply capability in one pass.
BL_VCC backlight power 3.3V~36V; BL_ADJ dimming frequency and duty cycle; BL_ONOFF status displayed in real time.
4 logic signal inputs (Din0~Din3) monitor mainboard logic-level outputs in real time, overlaid via OSD.
No PC needed for routine use: connect a monitor and see picture plus analysis on one screen
HDMI output = input image + status information. Output resolution adapts automatically to the input (up to 1920×1080, auto-compressed beyond that). Status information is overlaid as OSD: input timing, panel power status, backlight status, 4 logic signals (Din0~3), current signal type and parameter set (e.g. LVDS_4CH_10BIT_JD_OE), and the Ethernet IP address and port.
No PC required — front-panel keys handle parameter switching, auto detection and screenshot capture. Zero learning curve for operators.
A dedicated front-panel key saves the current input image as BMP to the SD card for record keeping and traceability.
The AUTO key identifies the input signal and switches to the matching parameter set — no more fumbling when swapping boards.
For in-depth analysis, stream the input image to a PC over gigabit Ethernet
The bundled PC capture software displays and analyzes the input image in real time over gigabit Ethernet. Network parameters (IP, subnet mask, gateway, port) are configured via the ip.txt file on the SD card. Complete communication protocol documentation is provided for custom development and integration with your own test system or MES.
High-speed image transfer lets R&D and review labs examine every detail of the input picture on a PC.
Protocol documentation enables custom development and integration with automated test systems.
LVDS and RGB inputs use dedicated firmware (BOOT.bin) switched via SD card; a 16GB SD card is included.
Ready to use out of the box; optional adapters extend V-by-One / eDP inputs
